Robert BROOKE Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia to all to Whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that by virtue of part of a pre-emption Warrant Number twelve hundred and ninety nine issued the seventeenth day of March one thousand seven hundred and eighty one, there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Thomas BARTLETT a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and ten acres by Survey bearing date the twentieth day of June one thousand seven hundred ninety five lying and being in the County of Harrison on the West side of the West fork and is bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at a Burch? and running thence South forty seven degrees West two hundred and three poles to a Poplar and two white oaks, South fifty five degrees West one hundred and sixty seven poles to a white oak, South fifty degrees East one hundred and forty poles to a hickory, North fifty degrees East fourteen poles to a white oak, North thirty degrees East twenty two poles to a black oak Joshua ALLEN’s corner, thence by a cue of his, North fifty three degrees East forty two poles to a black oak, thence North sixty degrees West twenty eight poles to a hickory, North forty seven degrees East two hundred and eight poles to an oak Job WALTON’s corner North eighteen degrees West twenty poles to the bank of said fork thence down the same with its meander ninety five poles to an oak thence North sixty seven degrees West fifty four poles to the Beginning, with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the said Thomas BARTLETT and his heirs forever. In witness whereof the said Robert BROOKE esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the leser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the third day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six and of the Commonwealth the twenty first.

Robert BROOKE Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia to all to whom these Presents shall come Greeting Know ye, that by virtue of a pre-emption Warrant Number twelve hundred and ninety-nine issued the seventeenth day of March one thousand seven hundred and eighty one, There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Robert BARTLETT, a certain tract or parcel of land containing four hundred acres by survey bearing date twentieth day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety five lying and being in the County of Harrison on the head waters of the Right hand fork of LAMBERTs Run, and is bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at a maple on a line of Thomas BARTLETTs and running thence West one hundred an fifty two poles to a Chesnut Oak and South thirty eight degrees West one hundred and forty nine poles to a hickory South Sixty degrees West fifty poles to a dogwood, South seven degrees West ninety poles to a Chesnut South thirty four degrees East one hundred and eighty poles to two chesnut oaks, South thirty seven and a half degrees East two hundred and eighty three poles to pointers North nine and three quarter degrees East one hundred and sixty? poles to the beginning, with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Robert BARTLETT and his Heirs forever. In witness whereof, the said Robert BROOKE Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath here unto set his mark and caused the lessees seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the fourth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety six and of the commonwealth the twenty first.

James WOOD Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, To all To whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Know ye, that by virtue of a Land Office Pre-emption Warrant Number one thousand two hundred and ninety nine issued the Seventeenth day of March One thousand seven hundred and eight one, there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Thomas BARTLETT, Junior a certain tract or Parcel of land containing one hundred acres by survey bearing date the tenth day of January, one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight lying and being in the County of Harrison on the fall run a drain of the right hand fork of Simpson’s Creek and bounded as followeth to wit - Beginning at a Burch on a line of other land of his running thence along said line, North eighty poles to a sugar tree on the same, North fifty degrees West - thirty eight poles to a white oak, North eight degrees East - fourteen poles to a white oak, North fifty and three quarter degrees West one hundred and twelve poles to a black oak and sugar tree, South forty one and three quarter degrees West forty four poles to a ?, South eight degrees West one hundred and twenty eight poles to a Beech, South seventy eight degrees East forty eight poles to a maple, North seventy two and a half degrees East fifty four poles to a gum, South seventy eight degrees East thirty eight poles to a white oak South thirty seven and a half degrees East twenty nine poles to a Beech, South seventy two and a half degrees East twelve poles to the Beginning. With its appurtenances; to have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of land with its appurtenances, to the said Thomas BARTLETT, Junior and his heirs forever.
