Jefferson County, Kentucky Deed Book QQ, pp. 470-471. This indenture made this twenty fourth day of September 1835 between William CUNNINGHAM and Susan M. CUNNINGHAM his wife of the County of Grayson and State of Kentucky of the one part and John BARTLETT of the County of Jefferson and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said William CUNNINGHAM and Susan M. CUNNINGHAM his wife for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fourteen dollars to them in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have given, granted bargained and sold and by these presents do give, grant, bargain and sell unto the said John BARTLETT his heirs and assigns forever all of our interest as one of the heirs of John W. HUNDLEY deceased which interest is one eleventh part of a certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the County of Jefferson and state aforesaid on the waters of Beargrass containing in the whole one hundred and forty eight acres and three fourths of an acre being part of a tract of 1163 3/4 acres granted unto Rebecca V. HITE and Jacob HITE as heirs and devisees of Isaac HITE deceased and being part of the same tract conveyed unto Henry WHITE by Abraham HITE and others and being the same tract conveyed by Henry WHITE and wife to John W. HUNDLEY by deed bearing date the 8th day of February 1825 and recorded in the Clerk’s Office of Jefferson County in Deed Book X page 40 and the said CUNNINGHAM and Susan M. his wife claiming title to said land as one of the heirs of John W. HUNDLEY deceased and said tract is bounded as follows, to wit. Beginning at two beeches and sweet gum, thence south eighty eight degrees west one hundred and fifteen poles and nine tenths of a pole to an elm and beech, thence south six degrees fifteen minutes west one hundred and seventy poles to a stake and two beeches standing in a line of John MAY’s 350 acre survey and thence with a line of the same south thirty eight and a half degrees east seventeen poles and three tenths of a pole to three beeches, thence south eighty nine degrees east forty five poles to a stake near two beeches and about two poles south of a large poplar, thence south sixty four degrees east ninety poles and eight tenths of a pole to a beech standing in a corner of what was called BARTLETT’s orchard and near the west side of the public road leading from Louisville to Shepherdsville, thence north one degree thirty minutes west crossing the creek at about 34 poles in all two hundred and twenty poles to the beginning _ To have and to hold the said one eleventh part of said tract or parcel of land above described to the said John BARTLETT his heirs and assigns forever [together with all and singular the appurtenances and advantages thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, unto the said John BARTLETT his heirs & assigns forever]1 and the said William CUNNINGHAM and Susan M. CUNNINGHAM his wife do further covenant and agree to and with the said John BARTLETT that they will and shall forever warrant and defend the said one undivided eleventh part of the before described tract or parcel of land from themselves their heirs and assigns and from the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming the same in any manner whatever_ In witness whereof the said William CUNNINGHAM and Susan M. CUNNINGHAM his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and date first within written.

I Worden POPE Clerk of the County Court of Jefferson County in the State of Kentucky, do certify that on this day the within and foregoing deed was produced to me in my office and acknowledged and delivered by the said William CUNNINGHAM to be his act and deed and that I have recorded said deed and this and the foregoing certificated in my said office_ Witnesseth my hand this second day of October eighteen hundred and thirty five.
