In an article about the Sons of the American Revolution, written by Frank Elliott Myers and published in the Overland Monthly, San Francisco, October, 1895, Vol. 26, No. 154 , was listed some of the California Society’s current members. Among those members was listed the following BARTLETT.
BARTLETT, COLUMBUS, - -born in Columbus, Georgia, August 13, 1833; son of Cosam E. BARTLETT; grandson of Stephen BARTLETT; great-grandson of Stephen BARTLETT, who in 1777 served as a Second Lieutenant in Captain William BARRON’s Company, Colonel Daniel MOORE’s regiment, New Hampshire troops; Great-grandfather, Asa BAILEY, was a Major in Colonel BEDELL’S regiment, New Hampshire troops, during the Revolution.
