Beloved wife Mary, I give as her own right the property without any reserve on my part in equal interest with my daughters in my estate and the children of my said daughters;
Daughters: Rhoda RICHARDSON, wife of Tennison (sic) RICHARDSON;
Mary GILBERT, wife of Thomas GILBERT;
Dority SHELLY, wife of William SHELLY;
Mariana WHITTINGTON, wife of John WHITTINGTON;
Daughter Emily SEARCY who has recently died - her children to wit: William Wesley, Mary Elizabeth, Francis S (or L), and Samantha M. SEARCY. The children of my said daughter are to have an equal share of any property with my said wife and daughters heretofore mentioned as though their said mother had lived. The share of the children to be taken charge of by the executor herein after named. All the property that I may die seized of whether real or personal may be sold on twelve months credit by said executor. Having already given to my sons James S. BARTLETT and Williamson BARTLETT their portion of my estate, they hereby [are] excluded from any part or portion of the property mentioned in this will. I appoint my son James S. BARTLETT executor to this my last will and testament. March 18, 1857.

Codicil: I desire that the provision made for my wife Mary BARTLETT in the foregoing will shall be received and taken by her in lieu of dower in any lands I may possess at my death. Proved Feb. 3, 1862. Recorded February 7, 1862.
