CAN YOU IDENTIFY ANY OF THESE PEOPLE?

As often is the case, you will run across photographs that you are pretty certain
are of your family but you don't have a clue as to who some of the people are.
I will use this page to post some of these photos that I have ran across and hope
that someone out there may be able to identify the person or people in them. If you
know any of these unknowns, please let me know.

This may be a photo of William and Rebecca Taylor with four of their children. I beleive that the young lady in the back row may be Catherine 'Kate' Taylor at a young age. Can you identify any of these people?Unknown photo #1

I think this may be a photo of Rebecca Taylor (with glasses) and two sisters ('Nan' and 'Pat' Murphy) and one of Rebecca's daughters (Maggie) - but I am not certain. Written on the back of the photo is "Maggie Taylor/Nan & Pat Murphy/&Grandma Taylor. This photo and the writting on back may be another clue to the theory that Rebecca's maiden name was Murphy - if these are two of her sisters and they never married.Unknown photo #2
(38KB)
I have no clue as to who these people are - but I would sure like to find out.Unknown photo #3
(37KB)
I am told by one family member that they beleive the couple on the left are Cortney and Catherine 'Kate' Taylor but this remains unconfirmed. The other individuals are unknown.Unknown photo #4
(11KB)
Written on back is "Aunt Mag". I think this may be Maggie Taylor (on the right) and her sister Catherine 'Kate' Taylor.Unknown photo #5
(11KB)
One Taylor family member believes this is a group photo of a Taylor reunior held by Sam Taylor who is a son of William and Rebecca Taylor. If so, this is a photo of their children at an older age with spouses. I believe that the third couple from the left are Cortney and Kate Taylor.Unknown photo #6

This is a photo on a postcard of four ladies. I have absolutely no clue as to who they are. Do you?Unknown photo #7

THE GILBERT TAYLOR COLLECTION

During a recent visit to Van Zandt County, Texas, I was fortunate
enough to have been given a box of old photos that my uncle had
been given several years earlier.
The photos were from a collection of Gilbert Taylor and his family.
Gilbert was a son of my Bart Taylor.
Gilbert died on July 2, 1961. He had been married to Lavada Abrams.
The photos provided a wealth of images of past Taylor ancestors.
Some of the photos are of people that are known and
other photos are of people unknown.
I am posting many of the photos below to share with other
interested researchers. Those who are known are
identified. The wording in quote marks is
what is written on the back of the photo.
If you can identify any of the unknown individuals,
I would sure like to hear from you.
My thanks to Gilbert and Lavada Taylor for
having collected the photos;
to Oris, who lived with Gilbert and Lavada, and passed
the photos down to my uncle;
and to my uncle, Jack, who was kind
enough to give me the photos.
NOTE: All of these photos were saved in a "low quality" format in
order to keep the file size down and help download time.
If you are interested in copies of any of these, let
me know and I will provide you with a much
higher quality image.
