George W. Van Tine Dead.
He was superintendent of the Singer Manufacturing Company.
George W. Van Tine, superintendent of the Singer Manufacturing Company of Elizabethport, N.J., was found dead in his bed yesterday morning at his home, in Avenue A, Bayone. He was about fifty years old and had taken an active part in public affairs of Bayonne, besides being a master mechanic of rcognized ability and a member of several scientific societies, the Bayonne Lodge of Masons, and the Bayonne Lodge of Elks.
It is thought that apoplexy caused his death. He appeared to be in the best of health a few hours before. Two sons survive him.

Note: There are two Isaac Vantines shown on Mss #829
with identical service. One is listed as "widow's son."
Regarding the above entry, there are two possible Isaacs alive
at this time, but the other's father, Ephraim, is still alive
in 1783 while this Isaac's father, Charles, died about 1766.
There is a strong possibility that two Isaacs lived in the same
area at the same time and that their families are mixed
together. Isaac and Anne Schuurman Van Tine definitely lived in
the area, but is the Isaac who shows up with "Altie" in the
deed records and one christening the same one?
