Carol,

I was quite excited to find your web site today. I'm researching
the McCollum/McCallum/McColm families of Somerset, NJ, and was most grateful to find the bible record. It's a shame that Elinor didn't identify her own parents and siblings!

You may be interested to know that the McCallum Clan database shows an Elinor McCollum baptised about 1762 at the Harlingen DRC in Montgomery, NJ. They have some siblings, too, but not all of them it seems. This Elinor's parents were Hugh McCallum and Mary Campbell. I will be interested to discover whether Rynier Van Tyne's mother was any relation to Elinor's mother!

I am also very, very interested in Your Nellie's birth date. I am
looking for the family of Malachi McCollum/McColm, who was born about 1760, and who had "a sister Eleanor and brothers John and Alexander", but whose birth, parents, etc. I am unable to locate.

Thank you for posting all of the great data!

Regards,

John Allen
