• Research Note
Although I have this marriage from the Vantine Family Notes and dates from gravestones, there is enough wrong that I'm not sure this is the right family. In 1880, Elizabeth is a widow, but according to the gravestones, James died in 1883. Her parents are listed twice as 'foreign'. James' birth date is consistent in the census but very different on his gravestone.

General Notes for Child Isaac S. Vantine
Putting this Isaac md to Susan as a son of Samuel md to Anna Hilliker is done solely on the basis of the family history composed about 1895-1905. There are other errors in the family record, but this seems possible and while I had previously connected this Isaac to Francis, there was no proof of that connection either.
The second problem is the estimated birth date for Isaac. It's several years before the marriage date for Samuel.

General Notes for Child Abraham S. Vantine
There's a problem with this family. The family history compiled about 1895-1905 says that Albro (Abraham) who married Hannah Way had no children. There are children listed in the 1840 census (although nameless), the 1850 and 1860 census records. They are gone by 1870 and not in 1880, after which both Hannah and Albro are dead.
The children listed in the census are Isaac and Wesley. Wesley listed his profession as seaman, so perhaps he was lost at sea, and Isaac Way Vantine married Emaline Yeomans and had a large family.

CEMETERY RECORDS OF BRANT CEMETERY
BRANT, ERIE COUNTY, NEW YORK http://www.buffnet.net/~macdowel/brant/brant.htm
The Brant Cemetery is located on New York Route 249, one-half mile East of Brant Center. It was donated by Samuel Butts and the lots were set up by George Matteson. George Matteson was born in Vermont October 21, 1790. He was the son of Francis Matteson. A private burying ground was set aside by Mr Butts for his family and descendants which is still used today. It is located West of the main burial grounds. The cemetery is well kept but, due to age, some stones are becoming illegible and a few are broken. Located on the grounds to the rear of the tool shed is an area of unmarked graves, consisting of infants, children of farm laborers and adults who were either unidentified or could not afford the cost of a lot. The unidentified were killed as the result of being hit by trains passing through the area. A few stones with German inscriptions have been translated into English.
