General Notes for Child George Kitts\Goetz

>Name note: Connection to father is certainly not proved

KITGEO47 Potter, Dr. Marguerite: Dr. Potter left notes regarding the Kitts family when she died. They were in very rough form and not well organized. Most of the sources were in her memory and not written down. She knew a lot from her own knowledge or from what she was told as a girl. Tippett, Mrs. JM (Grace): Dr. Potter's sister organized and added to the Kitts papers.

Deceased Blatz, Mrs. Margaret: Mrs. Blatz is a descendant of the Kitts line through George Clark Kitts, son of George Kitts. She is a very careful and thorough researcher and gave me most of the information on the Kitts family.

General Notes (Wife)

Evidently there is a problem with this family. Is this the right Huse/Vantine marriage? Without a first name the Huse genealogy is difficult to interpret - dates match, but that about all. Needs work.

About this book Source: The descendants of Abel Huse of Newbury : (1602-1690). Huse, Harry Pinckney,. Washington, D.C.. Press of W.F. Roberts Co.. c1935.
Notes: 1990 microform edition lacks frontispiece. Includes index.

Subjects: Hughes family. Huse, Abel, 1602-1690. Huse family

This book says that Elizabeth died without children and Joseph Huse remarried in 1853 to Helen Eliza Jackson.

The contrasting information is from Toni-Anna Tindall's chart. The chart is supported by the 1860 Federal Census which has an Elizabeth married to a George Barber. There is an 8 year old Huse in the household. So you have an older Barber, previously married, married second? to Elizabeth Vantine. He has a large established family but their common child appears to be Annettie born in 1859.

The Huse child would be Elizabeth's (only) child by her first marriage with that Husband Huse dying before 1856.
