Deceased Name: Clifton L. Vantine A funeral will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2000, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aloha for Clifton L. Vantine, who died June 20 of cancer at age 59.
Mr. Vantine was born Feb. 13, 1941, in Crawford, Neb. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees for 20 years, including in the Vietnam War, before his military retirement in 1986. He moved to Aloha in 1986 and was a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service for the past 14 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a Boy Scout leader for Aloha Grange Troop 166. In 1963, he married Phyllis Frank.
Survivors include his wife; son, Jason; sisters, Vena D. Ahrens and Ava Lynn Spaur; and brother, Wayne.
Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to his church. Arrangements are by Autumn Funerals & Cremations.
