John R. Whittemore, 43, of Nashua, died Feb. 26, 2002, at his home.

Mr. Whittemore was born Dec. 20, 1958, in Nashua, son of Georgianna (Vantine) Whittemore of Port Richie, Fla., and the late Chester L. “Chet” Whittemore. He was a lifelong resident of Nashua, and had resided at Harbor Homes in Nashua for the past few years.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially during his camping trips with friends from Harbor Homes.

Mr. Whittemore had a real enthusiasm for music and loved to play the guitar. He was also an avid reader and was inquisitive.

He graduated from Nashua High School in 1976, having played on both the football and baseball teams.

Besides his mother, survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Melodie Whittemore of San Diego, Mark Whittemore and David and Diane Whittemore, all of Merrimack; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Robin and Home Burdick of Kittery, Maine, Kristen and James Kotel of Worcester, Mass., and Laurie and Michael Zibolis of Nashua; two uncles and aunts, Frank and Eleanor Whittemore of Hollis, Mildred Nadeau of Hollis and Donald Vantine of Nashua; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service was held at The Davis Funeral Home, Nashua on March 4. The Rev. James S. Chaloner officiated. Interment will be private.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to Harbour Homes Inc., 12 Amherst St., Nashua NH 03064.

The Davis Funeral Home in Nashua was in charge of arrangements.

Deceased Name: Georgianna M. (Vantine) Whittemore, formerly of Nashua Georgianna M. (Vantine) Whittemore, 82, of Spring Hill, Fla., died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, following a long illness.
Mrs. Whittemore was a lifelong Nashua resident until retiring from Slawsby Insurance and moving to Florida in 1988. Details of her return to Nashua and memorial service are not yet complete.
A notice of arrangements and full obituary will be made at a later date.
The Brewer and Sons Funeral Home in Spring Hill, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.

Deceased Name: Georgianna M. (Vantine) Whittemore, formerly of Nashua Former employee of Slawsby Insurance Georgianna Margaret (Vantine) Whittemore, 82, of Springhill, Fla., died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at her home after a struggle with cancer.
Ms. Whittemore was born March 19, 1924, in Concord. She lived in Nashua for more than 60 years before moving to Florida, where she lived for the past 18 years.
She worked for the Nashua Sprague Electric Co. and the Slawsby Insurance Co. of Nashua. She also served as the administrative assistant for the chief pilot at Northeast Airlines of Boston. She later served as the executive assistant to Archie Slawsby, of Slawsby Insurance before retiring to Florida in 1988.
Ms. Whittemore enjoyed playing bridge, knitting, golf and traveling.
She graduated from Nashua High School in 1941.
Ms. Whittemore was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Smith of Nashua; and two sons, John Whittemore of Nashua and Mark Whittemore of Merrimack.
Survivors include her longtime friend and companion, Lawrence "Larry" Gipperich of Springhill, Fla.; a brother, Donald Vantine of Nashua; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Melody Whittemore of Coronado, Calif., and David and Diane Whittemore of Merrimack; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Robin and Homer Burdick of Kittery, Maine, Kristin Kotel of Worchester, Mass., and Laurie and Michael Zibolis of Merrimack; her beloved 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Brewer and Sons Funeral Home in Florida is in charge of arrangements.
