Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Jerrell officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo.
Mr. Vantine was born June 14, 1915, in Kane, Pa. He served in the Army in World War II from 1941 to 1945 and received a Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; two sons, Kenneth Vantine of Weatherford and Lynn Vantine of Chicago; a brother, Chester Vantine of Mt. Jewett, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

Michael P. Vantine, 50, a native of this city and a retired pharmacist, died at his home Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 2, following a short illness.
Born October 5, 1958, he was the son of Donald R. Vantine and the late Celia (Burns) Vantine.
Michael was educated in Nashua and was a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1976. He attended Riverside Junior College in California for a year and then returned to enter and graduate from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. A Registered Pharmacist at the age of 23, Michael had worked for several local pharmacies over a period of 22 years before his retirement in 2003.
Michael was very athletic and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching ESPN following baseball, basketball, football and hockey. He made his home with his father for the past few years and spent quality time with him and his many friends.
In addition to his father, Donald R. Vantine of Nashua, Michael is survived by his wife, Angeline (Barry) Vantine; his son, Grant Vantine, of Fitchburg, MA, a student at LaSalle College; an uncle, Thomas Burn of Nashua; and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held in the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 LOCK STREET, NASHUA, Monday at 10 a.m. Friends are invited to attend. Burial will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
