Carol Yokum,
Being very new to the internet, my first try was the Bangham name.
It was there I spotted your name along with the name of Thomas Bangham and Mary ? Thomas and Mary Casterline Bangham are my great great grandparents.
My mother was a Bangham, and at present I am trying to do her genealogy, but am somewhat stuck beyond Thomas and Mary, though I do have information on some of their children.
I have no idea where either of them are buried though we have been in the general area of where they lived, but not been able to pick up much info.
One of their sons, John, is my great grandfather, and I know that a Joseph is brother to my grandfather as I have his death certificate. This names Thomas and Mary as the parents of Joseph.
I do know there were other children as I have an old penciled paper which stated Bill, and I think it was Ben, went west. I have wondered if the William Bangham of Ohio is also a brother, but have never followed it as of now.
If you are interested in comparing family data, I would like to hear from you. This is only my third e-mail, so hope it is Ok. Penny Bonnema

About Family Data Collection - Individual Records
The Family Data Collection - Individual Records database was created while gathering genealogical data for use in the study of human genetics and disease.
For more information about this database, click here.
A unique database containing 5 million genealogical records (20 million names) that were saved from destruction after being rejected from scientific studies. The Family Data Collection records were created while gathering genealogical data for use in the study of human genetics and disease. Compiling data for genetic research does not require the same type of documentation as traditional genealogical research. The genes themselves verify relationships and qualify or disqualify a person from a particular study. Citing the source of every genealogical fact in the electronic gene pool was deemed unnecessary and cost prohibitive by medical researchers. Millions of individual records were created from birth, marriage and death records; obituaries; probate records; books of remembrance; family histories; genealogies; family group sheets; pedigree charts; and other sources. The records collected that did not fit a specific study became the project's "by-products" and were schedule to be discarded. After viewing the quality of the source material used to create the gene pool and despite the absence of cited documentation, the electronic rights to the data were purchased, rather than see it destroyed.
Thousands of families are known to be present in the database, containing 20 million names in 5 million records. This data covers the entire U.S. for a wide expanse of years. At a minimum, each record contains an individual's name, date and place of birth, and the name of his or her father. A complete record will contain the following information for an individual: Name, Date and Place of Birth, Date and Place Married, Date and Place of Death, Name of Spouse, Name of Father, Name of Mother, Use this database as a finding tool, just as you would any other secondary source. When you find the name of an ancestor listed, confirm the facts in original sources, such as birth, marriage, and death records, church records, census enumerations, and probate records for the place where the even took place.

Evidently there is a problem with this family. Is this the right Huse/Vantine marriage? Without a first name the Huse genealogy is difficult to interpret - dates match, but that about all. Needs work.

About this book Source: The descendants of Abel Huse of Newbury : (1602-1690). Huse, Harry Pinckney,. Washington, D.C.. Press of W.F. Roberts Co.. c1935.
Notes:1990 microform edition lacks frontispiece. Includes index.
Subjects:Hughes family. Huse, Abel, 1602-1690. Huse family
This book says that Elizabeth died without children and Joseph Huse remarried in 1853 to Helen Eliza Jackson.
The contrasting information is from Toni-Anna Tindall's chart. The chart is supported by the 1860 Federal Census which has an Elizabeth married to a George Barber. There is an 8 year old Huse in the household. So you have an older Barber, previously married, married second? to Elizabeth Vantine. He has a large established family but their common child appears to be Annettie born in 1859.
The Huse child would be Elizabeth's (only) child by her first marriage with that Husband Huse dying before 1856.

Hi Carol,
I am doing an ongoing project to try to track down my maternal gggrandmother Mary E. Prindle and came across some info that pertained laterally to William A. Stevens.
Sarah J., his wife, is Sarah J. Young. She was married to 1. Samuel Barker and had a daughter Sarah M. Barker. After they divorced. She then married twice more: William A. Stevens and then to someone with the last name of Wood(s). Her daughter Sarah M. Barker took the name of Mr. Wood(s) as her surname while it seems that her brothers Elmer, Franklin and Frederick kept Barker as their last name.
Sarah M. Barker (Woods) went on to marry my gr. gr. grandfather John Augustus Lowden. She was his third wife. Mary E. Prindle was his first wife (my biological gr. gr. grandmother), he then married Martha Robbins who died in childbirth and then within six months he married Sarah M. Barker (Woods) as his third and final wife. She outlived him and collected his widow's pension from the Civil War.
I wasn't sure if you knew that his wife's name was Sarah J. Young and that she had married before to a Samuel Barker and then to a man with the surname Woods.
If you would like more 'fill in the blanks' info if I can get it, please let me know.
Hope all this convolution makes sense! Just email me again if it doesn't make sense or if you would like more info.
Sincerely,
Bridget Carroll
