Dear Carol,

I scanned to PDF the document as printed from the microfilm am sending to you attached.
The doucment is a one page document but I had to print it in two parts so the attached will be two over lapping pages.
I may have taken some liberties with the "Van" part of the Van Tine surname - see what you think - I think the superscript part preceding "Tine" is Van - see what you thing - being familiar with the name Van Tine is surely what I interpretted.

The source for this document
[Source: Ancient Documents Microfilm - Adriance Memorial Library - Film#931168]

I didn't post the source because right now the films are in the local history room at the temporary scaled down Library on Bancroft road which is operating but not at full capacity until such time as the renovated library is reoopened on Market Street in Poughkeepsie and I didn't want the Library to be flooded with requests for these films at this time.

Ancient Documents up through 1800 are the only ones indexed - this series of films is also with LDS - the other years are on a hodge podge of films that do not have a great finding aid so it is work by hit and miss - I narrowed down to this 1834 film because I was searching for an 1834 Court Case which I did not find but I try to note others and print out other items that peek my interest - my study of the Poor in Dutchess County is what peeked my interest with this one and the poor boy indentures.

This film included Civil Cases, Criminal Cases, Sat's of Mtgs, some Deeds as well as the other items as noted - for me these are better reading than any book but alot harder on the eyes <smile> - this particular film was quite good quality - some of the others are barely legible and I don't know if that is because of deterioration in the film or the quality of the documents when they were originally filmed.

Ginny {Virginia A. "Ginny" Buechele}
PS -
I found at Ancestry World Tree a Horatio N. Brill as the father of a George Brill b. in 1841 - no mother given - I have to wonder if he is one in the same with Horatio Nelson Brill in this case - maybe the 1841 date is not right and George's mommy was Harriet VanTine or there was another male Brill floating around in the same time frame that was Horatio's son and full or step brother to George???
