This Indenture made this Sixth Day of March One thousand Seven hundred and Ninety Between Martha Glasscock, Julius Glasscock, J. Milton Glasscock, Martin Glasscock, & George Glasscock of the County of Chatham and State of North Carolina of the one part and Thomas Rubottom of the State and County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the Said Martha Glasscock, Julius Glasscock, J. Milton Glasscock, Martin Glasscock, and George Glasscock for and in Consideration of nine pounds twelve shillings good and Lawfull money of the State aforesaid to them in hand paid by the Said Thomas Rubottom the receipt whereof the Said Martha, Julius, J. Milton, Martin, & GeorgeGlasscocks doth hereby acknowledge Hath given granted Bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell and confirm to him the Said Thomas Rubottom one certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing two Hundred and twenty four acres lying being and situate on the waters of Little Brush Creek in the County of Chatham aforesaid Beginning in Hugh Moffetts Corner at White Oak running West twenty pole to a Hickory then South twenty pole to a Black Oak thence south fifty five degrees East one hundred and Sixty eight pole with Hadleys line to a Black Oak thence East one hundred and thirty pole to a Hickory thence North one and Seventy pole to a Black Oak on Hugh Moffetts line thence West two hundred and forty five pole with said line to the place of Beginning----------------------
with all and singular the privileges and appurtenances to him the Said Thomas Rubottom his heirs and assigns forever to have and to hold the same with every part and parcel thereof to him the Said Thomas Rubottom his heirs and assigns forever against them the Said Martha Glasscock, Julius Glasscock, J. Milton Glasscock, Martin Glasscock, & George Glasscock their heirs or assigns Executors, Administrators, and against the demand of Any person or persons claiming the Same under them or any of them In Witness whereof the Said Martha Glasscock, Julius Glasscock, J. Milton Glasscock, Martin Glasscock, & George Glasscock hath hereunto Set their hands and affixed their Seals the day and year first above written. Signed Seal'd & Delivered
