Receipt to dye green

Take one ounce of Indigo well pulverised and five ounces of oil vitriol mix indigo and vitriol in a glass vessel and let it stand ten days Stir it each day then boil a strong ouse (?) of hickory bark and also of black oak bark boil your ouse (?) separate then mix then pour in 1/2 lb of allum also the mixture of indigo and vitriol then boil your yarn untill enough this receipt will dye three pounds. Receipt to dye red

Take one ounce of Cochineal bugs and one ounce Creamtarter mix and let it boil 15 minutes then put in one ounce of murate of tin, this receipt will dye one pound / For one lb of Cotton thread read. Take one ounce of Cochineal bugs 4 ounces of red wood, "not log wood" let this dye stuff boil 15 minutes then put in your thread let it boil slowly 2 hours then air the thread 30 minutes then put in the dye 2 tab spoon fulls of soda and 4 of lincead oil then boil again 30 minus (minutes??) then take out and hang out.

Note: I am not sure I've transcribed the "Cochineal bugs" correctly. If anyone knows the correct spelling, please let me know!
