Obituary of Alice Stanton, daughter of Vinton H. Rubottom and Nellie Mae Dodd

SCOTTSBLUFF- A funeral for Alice Stanton, 66, of 1409 E. 17th St.,
who died at the Scottsbluff hospital Jan. 20, 1992 will be at 10 a.m.
Friday in the Gering Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Howard Roseberry
officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at
Scottsbluff.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on
Thursday.
A memorial has been established to the family.
She was born Nov. 22, 1925 at Alliance to Vinton and Nellie May
(Dodd) Rubottom. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1944 and
went to work for F.W. Woolworth as a clerk. She worked there until
1945, then went to work for the Alliance Creamery, later working for
Woolworth for two more years. She married Edward F. Stanton Nov. 15,
1953.
She is survived by her husband; sons Richard Rubottom of Minneapolis, Arthur Stanton of Scottsbluff and
Thomas Stanton of Bayard; daughters Nancy Peters and Carol Schuler,
both of Gering; brothers Vernon Rubottom of Alliance and Larry Rubottom
of Eureka, Calif.; sisters Maude Loomis of Angora and Esther McCool of
New Plymouth, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two
brothers.
