The funeral of John Milton Rubottom was held here Monday morning, the body arriving on a train from the East. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Fred E. Smith of Danville, Indiana. Those who attended from a distance were: H.B. Little and family, Danville, Lucinda Wright, West Ridge, IL, William Rubottom, Cold City, Indiana, Thomas N. James and wife of Brazil.

Word was received last Saturday of the death of Milton Rubottom at Danville, Indiana in the home of his daughter, Mrs. H.B. Little. Mr. Rubottom was for many years a resident of this place and was well known by our older people. The body came to Bloomingdale, Monday morning, on the 9:30 train and was taken directly to the Friend's Church where services were held, his home pastor being in charge. Interment in the Bloomingdale Cemetery. Mr. Rubottom was 81 years old.
