Obituary of Maude H. Rubottom Loomis, daughter of Vinton H. Rubottom and Nellie Mae Dodd

ANGORA - Maude H. Loomis, 90, of Angora, (NE.) died Saturday, Jan.
29, 2000, at Beverly Health Care in Scottsbluff. A funeral Service will
be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in
Scottsbluff with Dale DeRaad and Doyle Copeland officiating. Interment
will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Broadwater.
Friends may call the funeral Chapel from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on
tuesday, Feb. 1. Memorials have been established to the Alzheimer's
Association ot the Donor's choice.
She was born July 20, 1909 to Vinton and Nellie (Dodd) Rubottom in
Russell Springs, Kan. She moved with her family to Nebraska when she
was two. She attended school and graduated from Alliance High School.
She married Samuel H. Loomis on December 10, 1930 in Alliance. They
made their home in Morrill County until she moved to the nursing home in
1997.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Rosanna and LeRoy
Townsend of Gillette, Wyo., Della and Arthur Chavez of Belen, N.M.,
Mary and Don Dewitt of Mitchell, NE., Edith and Keith McGrew of
Mitchell, NE.; sons and daughter-in-law, Fred and Darlene Loomis of
Alliance, Arthur and Jan Loomis of Angora, Raymond and Diana Loomis of
Angora; brothers Larry Rubottom and Jess Rubottom both of California;
29 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and many other friends and
family, she will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sam, seven sisters and two
brothers.
