Dr. W. H. Rubottom was born in Parke County, Ind. Oct. 15, 1834. Born into the kingdom of God at Newberry, Ind. in 1852 and joined the M.E. Church in which he lived a consistent and active member until he moved to Texas in 1889. There he joined the M.E. Church, South in which he labored until called by his Master from labor to reward. The call came last Saturday afternoon, Feb. 28, 1903 at his home five miles northeast of Springdale. More than a score of years he spent in ministering to the sick and suffering as a regular practicing physician. He was a man of unusual kindness, ever considerate for the comfort and welfare of others. Long will he lived in the memory of those who knew him. J.W. House.

(from the Springdale News) Dr. W. H. Rubottom, who resided five miles northeast of Springdale, died at his home Saturday, Feb. 28th and was buried Sunday afternoon in Bluff cemetery.
