Wife's name was Louisa C. HATHCOX. JAMES H. ELKINS, 34th Infantry, Co K, Private, NOTES: Enlisted at Loachapoka AL 23 April 1862 with his brother, James D. ELKINS. He was captured at Chicamauga on 20 September 1863 and sent to Camp Douglas, IL where he died of Typhoid Dysentery.
