Ida's birthdate and place are from an affadavit issued as a substitute for a birth certificate. Text of affadavit:

 Ida S. Lowry, being first duly sworn, deposes and says:
 That she is the widow of Felton Lowry, deceased veteran; that she was born October 14th, 1861, at Fort Smith, Sebastian County, Arkansas; that she is unable to furnish proof of the date of her birth for the reason that no records of birth were kept at the said Sebastian County at said time; that a record of the birth of herself and other members of her family was kept in the family Bible, but she does not have possession of such record and does not know who has it;
 That affiant's father's name was George Warren Sisson and her mother's name was Sarah Amelia Sisson (nee Sylvester); that during the summer of 1870 affiant lived in McArthur, Vinton County, Ohio, with her said father and mother and her brother and sisters Eva Sisson, Harvey Sisson, and Gay Sisson;
  That during the summer of 1880 affiant also lived at McArthur, Vinton County, Ohio, with her mother and father and the same brother and sisters then living to-wit: Eva Sisson, Harvey Sisson, and Gay Sisson; that no brother of affiant rendered military or naval service.

Ida married Felton LOWRY, son of John LOWRY and Elizabeth FRANCE/FRONTZ, on 27 Mar 1890 in Adah, Ohio. Felton was born 20 Jul 1838 in Zanesville, OH. He died 28 Nov 1913 and was buried 30 Nov 1913 in East Lawn Cemetery, Sacramento, CA.

Felton travelled to San Francisco in 1860 through the Isthmus of Panama. He served in the Civil War in Co. K, 8th Regiment of California Volunteers. In 1860 he was a miner at the Indian Diggings in El Dorado Co., CA. In 1890 he lived in Sacramento.

Jose Eduardo Padilla was a businessman engaged in the importation and sale of goods from the US. He was a member of the city council of Mazatlan (Ayunamineto de la Ciudad de Mazatlan), and owned several properties in Mazatlan. He was a partner with Carlos Linga who was engaged in shipping.

Because of the Mexican Revolution, Maria Concepcion fled Mexico with her two daughters to the US in 1916 and settled in San Francisco. Their US citizenship, which came to daughter Maria Luisa through her grandfather Isaac Sisson, allowed them to board a refugee train for the US.

Jose married Maria CONCEPCION BELTRAN. Maria was born 23 Nov 1880 in Chametla, Mexico. She died 29 Dec 1959 in Oakland Park, CA, USA.
