Lillie's maiden surname has also been reported as "Darl."

Mark Sisson, 83 Olentangy St, Columbus, Ohio 43202, says that Jessie was found dead in his backyard garden in Albany, Ohio, having been stabbed in the chest with a butcher knife. The authorities, apparently unwilling to pursue the matter to any extent, ruled the incident a suicide, despite the unlikely circumstances. Should it have been ruled a murder? The date of his death has been recorded both as December 10, 1955 and 1966. Jessie and Dessie are both buried in School Lot Cemetery, Carpenter, Meigs Co., Ohio.
