Frank Munro Sisson's birthdate is incorrectly reported in the Sisson family Bible (as 21 June 1853).  It is correct as 27 June 1855.  There was probably difficulty reading someone's handwriting.  There are many spellings of Munro, but that is the spelling he used, just as it had been by the family of Polly Munro, his maternal grandmother. He died in the Rochester (NY) Homeopathic Hospital (now Genessee Hospital). Frank Munro Sisson was a graduate of Hobart College, probably in 1876 or 1877. His MD was from Hahnemann Medical College, New York City, about 1880. Frank Sisson practiced homeopathic medicine and was a surgeon in Camillus, Onondaga County, NY; in Williamsport, PA; and finally in Lyons, Wayne Couunty, NY, until his death-- in Rochester, Monroe County, NY, in the Rochester Homeopathic Hospital (now Genesee Hospital, on Alexander Street). "This may certify that on Thurday the twenty third day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty one at six oclock p. m. the subscribed, at the residence of A.M. Leach, Esq Lyons, Wayne Co., N.Y., united in marriage Frank Monroe Sisson, M.D., and Emma Louise Leach, both of Lyons, according to the laws of the State of New York.  A.A. Wood, pastor Pres. Church. Frank Sisson practiced homeopathic medicine and was a surgeon in Camillus, Onondaga County, NY; in Williamsport, PA; and finally in Lyons, Wayne Couunty, NY, until his death-- in Rochester, Monroe County, NY, perhaps in the Rochester Homeopathic Hospital (now Genesee Hospital, on Alexander Street). The 1900 Federal Census shows Frank's family in Lyons.

Frank married Emma Louise LEACH, daughter of Augustus Mortimer LEACH and Mary Jane SMITH, on 23 Jun 1881 in Lyons, Wayne Co., New York. Emma was born 21 Sep 1860 in Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York. She died 11 Mar 1930 in Orlando, Orange Co., Florida and was buried in Titusville, Florida.

Emma Louise Leach was educated at the Lyons Union School and Miss Grainger's Finishing School in Canandaigua, NY-- which was in the Grainger Homestead on Main Street. In April, 1878, aged 18, Emma joined the Lyons Presbyterian Church (according to their records).  She was dismissed to the Williamsport, PA, Presbyterian Church. With her husband, Emma lived in Camillus, Onondaga County, NY; in Williamsport, PA; and at 19 Lawrence St., Lyons, Wayne County, NY.  After Frank's death she lived on Maple Street, Lyons; in Mexico, NY, with Max (from 1911-23); in Alton with Mary (from 1923-5); in Lake Worth, FL (in 1925 and 1926) with John; and at the Magnolia Home, Titusville (?), FL (from 1925 until her death in 1930). Although her name is inscribed on the Sisson family monument in the Lyons Rural Cemetery, Emma is actually buried in Orlando, Florida. The 1910 Federal Census shows Emma age 49 as head of the house, with Max age 22, Frederic age 16, and John age 9.
