7880. Arthur Franklin SISSON (Julius Sylvanus
, Wilson Crandall
, Daniel Higby
, John
, John
, Giles
, Thomas
, George
, Richard
) was born 23 Sep 1890 in Cameron, Missouri. He died 14 Apr 1924 in St Joseph, Buchanan Co., Missouri.
Arthur Franklin and his parents' family moved to Maysville, Missouri, in 1890. He grew to be 6 feet 2 inches tall. Arthur found work with the county bridge gang. He was a surveyor and about 1916 county engineer for two years. In 1924 he was mayor of Maysville. Arthur was planning to move to Guernsey, Wyoming, but he was shot on election day at the southeast corner of the square, and died sixteen days later. The assailant Newman Estes and Arthur had nominated each other for mayor and police judge and were in the Ku Klux Klan until Arthur saw its increasingly lawless influences. His unfortunate reply as to whom he supported in that day's election was he "sure wasn't voting for any damned Ku Kluxer." He left a wife and two children.

Arthur married Myrtle ASHER in 1911. Myrtle was born 7 May 1894. She died 29 Dec 1964.

7881. Howard Roosevelt SISSON (Julius Sylvanus
, Wilson Crandall
, Daniel Higby
, John
, John
, Giles
, Thomas
, George
, Richard
) was born 3 Aug 1906 in Maysville, Missouri. He died 5 Dec 1965 in St Joseph, Missouri.
Howard operated the first "talking picture projector" in St Joseph, Missouri. His presence in 1930, when both of his parents died from complications associated with the flu, was most fortunate, as other family members lived afar and were bound by their own obligations. For a time, his father's brother, Lee, of Kansas City, occupied the home under Howard's guardianship. Howard sold the house after Lee's death there and a subsequent fire removed all tangible trace of the Van Sisson family, parents and four sons who had lived 50 years in Maysville. Howard's son Ray has managed the insurance and realty company in St Joseph since Howard's and Wilma's deaths in the mid-1960s, within one year of each other.

Bonnidell then completed her own Master's degree at the University of New Mexico.

|
Bonnidell married Newton William ROBERTS, son of Judge M. A. ROBERTS, on 14 Jun 1910 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Newton was born 6 Jul 1881 in Hancock Co., IN. He died Dec 1974 in Ottumwa, Wapello Co., Iowa.
Newton was educated at Baker University, Baldwin City, Kansas; Columbia University in New York City; and Iowa Wesleyan.
Newton was an attorney in Ottumwa, Iowa, from 1912 through the rest of his life. He was County Attorney for two terms, from 1919 to 1923. He was also well-known for his fine paintings, and had one-man shows in Ottumwa, Des Moines, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Newton enjoyed reminiscing about a year and a half early in his college years when he rode box cars and saw the world from Albuquerque to Juarex, Mexico, to St. Louis.
