This may be the George F. Sisson of New Bedford, Massachusetts, carpenter, who enlisted as a Private on 19 September 1862 at age 41 in Company G, 3rd Infantry Regiment Massachusetts. Mustered out 26 June 1863.

George married Clarinda Adams Claire MACOMBER, daughter of Joseph MACOMBER and Beulah THOMAS, on 18 Feb 1848. Clarinda was born 3 Oct 1826. She died 15 Feb 1919 in Middleborough, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts.
