1546. Anjanette Mason SISSON (George , James , George , George , George , Richard ) was born 14 Nov 1833 in Rhode Island.

Anjanette Mason Sisson married twice and had two children (though it is not stated in the Sisson Newsletter, v. 3, no.1, p 8, which husband was the father). Both children died in infancy.

Anjanette married (1) John P. PAYNE. John was born about 1833.

John P. Payne (or Jayne) was a captain on a whaler.

Anjanette also married (2) Charles Henry SNOW on 17 Dec 1860 in North Providence, Providence Co., Rhode Island. Charles was born about 1830.

1549. James Franklin SISSON (Benoni , George , John , George , George , Richard ) was born 4 May 1817 in Yates Co., New York. He died 28 Dec 1896.

James Franklin Sisson was a farmer. He was, possibly, the James Sisson who married Jane Linn, who became the parents of Jane Ewing, born March 3, 1845. James was worth $1,000 in the Jerusalem, Yates County, NY 1850 census. From George Rogers to Joseph Sisson and David Sisson, in an e-mail message dated 22 Feb 1999: "The 1860 Census for the Town of Jerusalem, Yates Co., NY, lists on page 3 James Sisson age 45 and wife Jane age 40. With them is Luther age 20 and Myron age 9 as well as six other children (Harrison, Ruth, Franklin, Charles, Delos, and Hannah). The 1865 First Election District in the Town of Jerusalem lists on page 21 James age 50 and new wife Harriett age 48. Again Luther age 24 and Myron age 14 are listed as children as well as four others (Frank, Charles, Delos, and Hannah). Sarah Pierce age 19 also lived with them. I assume she was Harriett's child by her first marriage. On page 4 of the 1875 Second Election District of Potter, Yates Co., NY Census, Luther Sisson age 34 and wife Mary Jane age 28 are listed with four children. Also living with them is Myron Sisson age 25, brother of Luther. I believe these all to be the same family."

Attached to the petition is a copy of a handwritten will, dated July 9, 1889, which leaves his estate to seven of his children, share and share alike, but leaves son Luther Sisson five dollars.

James married (1) Jane LINCE in 1839. Jane was born 1819. She died 1861.

James also married (2) Harriet Elizabeth on 1 Apr 1862. Harriet was born 1828. She died 1929.

Harriet Elizabeth Pierce was a widow with four children when she married James Franklin Sisson. Her maiden name is not known. She was born in New York state.

1551. Stephen SISSON (Benoni , George , John , George , George , Richard ) was born 22 Apr 1822 in Yates Co., New York. He died 11 Dec 1902.

Stephen married Hannah LOUNDSBERY, daughter of Phineas LOUNDSBERY and Polly, on 13 Jul 1853. Hannah was born 13 Jul 1823 in Madison Co., New York. She died 29 Nov 1902.

1553. Samuel SISSON (Benoni , George , John , George , George , Richard ) was born 22 Apr 1826 in Yates Co., New York. He died 25 Apr 1884.

Bethany Sisson and her husband William Genung, Jr., were Methodists. They moved to Italy [probably Yates County, where Italy Hill is listed], NY. David married Charlotte COONS, daughter of Zachariah COONS and Celinda BRIANT, before 1847. Charlotte was born about 1828. She died 1913.

1563. Harrison SISSON [scrapbook] (Jonathan , George , John , George , George , Richard ) was born in Jerusalem, Yates Co., New York. He died 21 Nov 1901.

Harrison Sisson was born "in 1827 (or 1829)" according to the Sisson Newsletter, v.3, no.3, and v. 5 no 2 page 5. He was a farmer on his father's homestead. He was supervisor of the Town of Jerusalem, Yates County, NY, in 1868. An engraving of his farm is shown in the 1876 Yates County atlas.

1565. George Sisson HAYES [scrapbook] (Lament SISSON , George , John , George , George , Richard ) was born 5 Mar 1808 in Milo, NY. He died 4 Sep 1889 in Hopetown Corner, NY and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Dresden, NY.

George was a farmer and also owned the Hopetown Hotel in Hopetown Corners, NY.

George married Catherine Little WHITEHEAD, daughter of Moses WHITEHEAD Jr. and Jemima LITTLE. Catherine was born 2 Jun 1811 in Essex, Essex Co., New Jersey. She died 6 Nov 1884 in Hopetown Corners, New York and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Dresden, NY.

1566. Rodman Sisson HAYES (Lament SISSON , George , John , George , George , Richard ) was born 4 Dec 1809 in Yates Co., New York. He died 11 Jul 1876.

Rodman married Charlotte WOOD. Charlotte was born about 1810.

Ancel married Elizabeth. Elizabeth was born 1821.
