William is probably NOT the Will Sisson who married Dora (Peckham) after 1900, and who was paid 25 cents to remove the town hearse. It may have been William Northrupp Sisson. This Willam Henry Sisson and his wife Judith are buried in the New Commons Cemetery, Little Compton, Rhode Island.

William married (1) Judith Gray WILBUR, daughter of Jonathan WILBUR and Maria G. TAYLOR, on 4 Apr 1866 in Tiverton, Rhode Island. Judith was born 10 Oct 1840 in Little Compton, Newport Co., Rhode Island. She died 29 Jan 1886 in Little Compton, Newport Co., Rhode Island.

Joseph P. Sisson was "absent" from the Sisson gathering of 16 Sep 1869. "Of the absent, there is but one to report incapable of being present on account of remoteness of residence, Joseph P. Sisson.... The writer [of the minutes] takes pleasure in reporting that a recent communication of July 12th gives evidence of the good health of himself, and his newly married wife, that he engaged in the occupation of book keeper, and Asst. Supt. of a sugar plantation at Hiola, Sandwich Islands. Is much pleased with his residence, reporting the climate delightful and healthy, and gives assurance that he will probably visit his friends North in the course of the next two years."
