Data: Eli was born Oct.23,1883 in Kirby, England.  He married Barbara Hannah Simpson (b. 1885, England), about 1904 in Yorks, Eng. Probably 2 children, James and Florence, born here before move to Nova Scotia, Canada between 1907-1912 to work as a coal miner.  He served in WWW II.  He had a brother, Thomas, in Durham, England in 1917.

Data: Thomas Farmer married Jane Baber in 1770 at Bedford County, Virginia.  Searching for the ancestors of Thomas Farmer of Virginia. Lynn Farmer and I are 5th cousins, our common ancestor is Samual Farmer, son of Thomas Farmer.  Samual moved to Kentucky in the early 1800s and all the Farmers of Taylor County are his decendents.

Grandma Grace died in 1998 at age (almost)102.  Her father, William, fought in the Civil War as Captain, Co. H, 3rd TN Cavalry USA.

Data: Free African American male listed in the 1840 Gloucester County NJ Federl Census. History of the area indicates Archibald settled in Guinea Town -- a colored community settled by former slaves (and their descendents) once owned by John Hugg. Archibald and Elizabeth (his wife) and children:  Benjamin, Samuel, Sarah, Rebecca, William, and James remained in the area. Guinea Town became part of Camden County (1844).  Archibald last appears in the 1885 NJ State Census for Centre Twp; Elizabeth was last enumerated in the 1900 census with George and Rebecca (daughter) Boardley of Gloucester Twp, NJ.

Data: Hester Farmer married Emmalee  Farmer  1910 and 1920 Haskell co Oklahoma census.Some of the surnames the boys married into are above. The Farmers came out of Newton County Arkansas around 1880  to Haskell Co Oklahoma. Hester was born in 1884 was part owner of a steam saw mill in Haskell Co and he and his family were known for their fiddling music.
