Data: William Hazlett, son of William Hazlett and Catherine Hogan,emigrated from Ireland with his wife, Mary T. McDermott, in 1891.  I only have a location on one child in the family, eldest son William, born 1867 in Holywell, County Fermaugh. Other children were James, b. 1870, emigrated to America alone 1886, William, b.1872, Katherine , b.1879 (my great grandmother), Henry, b.1879, Joseph, b.1880. The family settled in Walpole MA. Katherine married David R. Smith and moved to Jamaica Plain, MA.

Data: b. Enniskellen, Co Fermanagh, Ireland; d 22 Jan 1774, Sussex Co, NJ; sp Elizabeth Park, marr 12 Dec 1730; Robert was brother of Samuel Hazlitt from London; Robert and Elizabeth lived in Mansfield Woodhouse, Sussex Co, New Jersey.

New York, d. aft. 1860,  Westmoreland County, PA.; Andrew was in Mifflin County, PA and Hagerstown, MD until migrating to Westmoreland County, PA in 1800.

Data: b. 1716 in Londonderry, Ireland, d. 1805 in Londonderry, Ireland. Son William born in Londonderry, but traveled to American and m. Nellie Morris Brislow in 1785 in Lancaster, PA.

Data: married in Scotland to Nancy MacKee, migrated to Castleblaney, County Monaghan, Ireland. Five children, all born in Ireland- George, Eliza, James, Mary,& Thomas. Traveled to America in 1845- George Sr. died on board ship. The others arrived in Chicago, and George Jr. eventually settled in Iowa, after traveling to California.

Data: b. ab 1792 Westmoreland County, PA;  sp Margaret Kennedy;  they had 4 children:  Ann, Thomas, Sarah, and James.  They left PA for Portage County, Ohio and finally settled in Geauga County, Ohio.  Archibald's parents may have been Robert Hazlett (born 1760) and Margaret Chambers.

Data: MARY ANN HAZLETT Born about 1818 in Lebanon, Hunterdon County, NJ.  Died about 1902.  Married Stacy Bowlby.  Family buried in Washington Cemetery, Washington, NJ 

Data: b. 1816, Lebanon, Hunterdon County, NJ.  He married Lydia Brown in Asbury in 1834.  She was from Mansfield, Warren County, NJ.  Soon after their marriage, they moved to Luzerne County, PA.  Branches include ASH, BELLES, BOMBOY, MARKLE, MONROE, ROOD, SEYMOUR, SUTLIFF.  His sister, Mary, married Stacy Bowlby in Hunterdon County.  His brothers were James and John.

Data: b. 7 Jun 1794, d. 14 Dec 1878 Sarversville, Butler Co., PA, the son of William HAZLETT, an early settler of Winfield Twp., Butler Co., PA (b. abt. 1760 in MD or PA).  He married Mary DUFFY, b. 1794, d. 5 Feb 1886 Winfield Twp., Butler Co., PA) in 1818.  They had 9 children:  Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Reuben, Matilda, John Leonard, Nancy, Sarah Ann, and Jane.

Data: Born in Ireland circa 1800-1830.  Mother's maiden name was Lyttle.  Married Margaret Greenwood, dau. of Col. John Greenwood and Margaret Dennison, of County Tyrone. May have married in Ireland or Canada.  Emigrated to Canada. Settled in Chippawa, Ontario.  Death date unknown, but wife Margaret died in 1893. Children: John HAZLETT of Grand Rapids, Michigan; William HAZLETT of Cleveland, Ohio; James HAZLETT of Chippawa, Ontario; Samuel HAZLETT of Buffalo, New York and Chicago, Illinois; George HAZLETT of Oklahoma; Harriet HAZLETT of Chippawa, Ontario; Margaret SHERRY of London, Ontario;(and the following attended Margaret's funeral and may be childrern:Thomas of Whiting, Indiana; Alexander, Eliza of Chippawa, Ontario).

Data: b. 19 Feb 1862, possibly in Terre Haute, IN. He was mar. 3 July 1898 in Fannin Co., TX to Carrie Florence Earnest. Their children were: Lillie Gertrude, John R., Edna, James David and Ross Stidham.George died 15 July 1934 in Oil City, Bossier Parish, LA and is buried in Law's Chapel Cemetery in Atlanta, Cass Co., TX.

Data: B. April 24, 1801/02 Kanawha Co, WV.  M. August 30, 1827 to Elizabeth Hughart (Kanawha Co, WV?).  D. Nov. 22, 1886 Center Point or Mt. Vernon, Linn Co, IA.  Probably son of John Hazlett and Anna Beck m. April 26, 1800. Siblings listed in John's will:  Andrew, James B., Sarah (m. Billups), Washington T. (Kanawha Co Will Bk).  Andrew and James Hazlett appear in 1840 and 1850 Census in Hancock Co, Blue River Twp, IN.  From there, Andrew moved to Linn Co, IA (Mt. Vernon, Center Point area).  According to the History of Black Hawk Co,IA (under sons' names-- George Hayzlett and Wm Hayzlett), Andrew and his wife, Elizabeth Hughart (Huggard), were natives of Virginia.  They had 3 sons (who survived childhood)-John,William, George - and 1 daughter, Osea.  According to son, John G. Hayzlett's military pension records, John was born in Wheeling, VA/WVA in 1730.  The other children were born in Indiana.  Family left Virginia (WV) and went first to Indiana settling near Indianapolis.  Family moved to Iowa in 1851 settling on a farm in Linn County.  In the 1820 VA census records, several Andrew Hazletts appear in Kanawha, Cabell and Mason (all now WVA) counties 1830 VA census records show an Andrew "Hazelett in Kanawha Co (now WVA) and an Andrew "Hazelette" in Rockbridge Co in western VA.  Other Hazlets appear in Cabell and Jefferson counties and listed as heads of households mainly in Rockbridge, Cabell and Kanawha Counties (spellings vary.) 

I don't know if or how these all relate or where Hazlett family originated.

Data:  b. 1792 in Pennsylvania, the son of James Hazlett who emigrated from Ireland. Lived in Menno Twp, Mifflin County.  Married Mary Ann Wynn in 1843.  Eleven children, mostly boys. Andrew died in 1875.  Mary died around 1903.

Data: He was born in Lancster Co PA, came to KY with 2 brothers, to Scott County IN before 1820, to Parke Co IN in 1827.  He had 2 girls and 4 boys by his 1st wife and 2 boys by his 2d. 

I am a direct descendent of Samuel Hazlett. I am searching for a bro of Samuel's that went to Texas.

Data: b. 1889 Henry County, Ky, daughter of Newton Hazlett and Josephine Rucker Hazlett. Grand-daughter of Mathew L. Hazlett born 1817 in South Carolina and came to Ky and married in 1848. Bertha was the great grand-daughter of____Hazlett---born Ireland approx. 1792.

Data: b. 1786, Chambersburg, PA. RESIDENCE: Homestead on the National Road in Springfield township, Muskingum County, Ohio.  PROBATE: Will filed July 20, 1865. James Hazlett appointed administrator. He was replaced by the court with Alexander Grant following a petition of complaints of inactivity filed August 5, 1869 by Sarah Hazlett. A copy of the will and the petition are in the Shawe Source Documents file.

Data: b.abt 1756. He was educated at the Univ. of Edinburg and married Mary Colewell possibly in Edinburgh. They came to the US from Ireland shortly after the Revolutionary War and settled in Chambersburg, PA. He died in Washington, PA or Wheeling, WV in 1813. They had 7 children, all of whom except one moved to Zanesville, OH.

Mary Catherine Fike b. 26 Jn 1774 East Whit(e)land, Chester Co., Pa. d. 9 June 1849 Selbysport, Allegany Co.(now Garrett), Md.  Children of Samuel and Mary C. were Mary (my 4gr-grandmother), Catherine, Barbara, John, Elizabeth, Nancy, Frances, Jacob, Susan.(src. Christian Fike and His Descendants - book by M.B.F. Morrow, 1996)Line is Hazlett > Hazlett/Fike > Hazlett/DeBerry > DeBerry/Kelley > Deberry/Parks mid 1800's.

Data: b. 12 Aug 1771, probably in Maryland and died 16 Sep 1853.  He is buried in the Strickland/Twin Cemetery, Vermillion Twp., Ashland Co., Ohio next to his wife Elizabeth who died 05 Mar 1848.  Jonathan lived in Adams Co., Pennsylvania 1810-20 and settled in the area of Wayne County, Ohio that became part of Richland and finally Ashland County.
