He died in 1757 in Wynnestay, Blockley Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Have also found his date of death shown as 1751, but this is believed to be incorrect. Thomas had his estate probated on 24 December 1757 in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Upon his death, his will left the ancestral plantation to his son, Thomas, "when he shall arrive at twenty-one years of age. . . . . . .
