The deed was signed by George, Mary and an Ann Brewer, and witnessed by Thomas West, Jr. and Edward Brewer in Chatham County Deed 211. He lived in Chatham County, North Carolina in 1786. He owned 247 acres along the north side of the Haw River before 14 January 1807 in Chatham County, North Carolina. This land was conveyed to his son Jones, and was located at William Brewer's corner on William Petty's line to Little River. Henry Brewer was born about 1746. His birthdate is an approximation, based on the fact that his brother John filed an accounting with the court as his guardian of his estate in 1767. He did not do so in any ensuing years, most likely because Henry had come of age. He owned property left to him in his father's will in 1760 in Brunswick County, Virginia. In spite of his young age at the time (14), his father left him a tract of land on the south side of the Falling Run and 120 acres on the lower part of another tract of land, a Negro boy named Jacbo, one feather bed and furniture. His mother continued to live on the land until her death. He signed a will on 24 April 1802 in Brunswick County, Virginia. No bequeath was made to his wife, so it might be assumed that she died before him, and only his daughter Rebecca was named among his children. He gave his brother John all of his Negroes, namely Betty, Lewis, Davey, Sally and Kik. He appointed his brother John and Yearby Brewer as Executors of his estate. Henry died in 1804. In 1770, accounts were filed for the two girls, suggesting that Henry had become of age. The following year Abigail was dropped, but he continued as Rebecca's guardian until 1773.
