Anna Charlotte Karstedt was born on 10 March 1888 in Ontario, Canada. She was charter member of the University Heights United Brethren Church before 10 March 1968 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. She was "an active tithing member until her death." She died on 10 March 1968 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. She died in her home on her eightieth birthday after spending the day with her friends and family. Anna was buried on 13 March 1968 in Round Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. She is buried in section 4, along with her parents, sister Mamie and Ray Linson's first wife, Mary Lewis, whose grave is said to be unmarked. The cemetery is located at South Meridian and Epler Avenues. "Lottie" raised her seven children through the depths of the depression, with very little income. She was a Notary Public and kept a sign in the window that brought in a few notary fees. She also worked as a designer/artist for the American Art Clay Company, working in her home and designing and modeling fairy tale Christmas displays for department stores. Later, she had a job in her home once again, this time making draperies for Wassons Department Store. Lottie was an artist and tried her hand successfully at almost every medium of art. She did china painting in her earlier years and had several pieces of very fine work. She did a huge painting in pastels of Christ at Gethseminee, which she donated to the United Brethren Church in University Heights in memorium to their pastor at his death. The painting still hung in the church as of 1996. This work was done on the dining room table and completed at one sitting. She lost one eye shortly after that, and was fitted with a glass eye.
The following is a memory from her childhood, and of her first school experience as a young Canadian in the United States: "Getting enrolled in school was really something. Grading systems being so very different in the U. S. A. from those in Canada, it was a bit difficult to make sure just where we belonged. We had started to school at five years of age, but I'm sure that Dad bragged just a bit too much about us to the authorities in Noblesville. The result was that Carrie, who was not quite thirteen years old, was entered in high school. I was eight and was put into the fifth grade, where they were deep in the study of the Revolutionary War. I had never had any U. S. history, or geography either, and being a loyal little Canadian, decided that I hated history. Another thing--when the class sang "America," I knew only the words that went with "God Save The Queen," so I sang out. Enough said, I had to take the fifth grade over again!" Parents: Rev. William M. Karstedt and Elizabeth Stade.

Spouse: William Albert Linson. Anna Charlotte Karstedt and William Albert Linson were married about 1907 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. Children were: Violet Elizabeth Linson, Myrtle Melvina Linson, Ray Howard Linson, Don Albert Linson, Dean Taylor Linson, Kephart Leroy Linson, Robert Edward Linson.
