David Haag emigrated from Germany in 1748 on Hampshire. Arrival in Philadelphia on 7 Sep 1748 - signed his name "Hag". Age shown was 22.

New Goschenhoppen Marriages beginning in 1747 shows David Haag and Elisabeth Catharina Wagenseil (Wagenseller).

David Hawk is on the Providence twp tax lists for @ 140 acres in 1769, 1774, 1780, 1781, 1783 and 1798. His son, George, is on the 1798 "Glass Pane" tax list living next door to his father, David, and Jacob Longacre.

The 1790 census shows David Hawk in Montgomery Co with 3 males over 16 and 3 females.

1800 census, Providence twp shows 2 males 26-45, 1 male over 45, 1 female 16-26

On the 19th, in his 92nd year, David HAWK of Lower Providence - on the 21st his remains were interred in Lower Providence burying ground. (This may be the small burial ground that is attached to the Lower Providence Presbyterian church cemetery. Abraham and Catherine Frick Hawk are buried in the Presbyterian church cemetery.)

        Jacob married Anna Maria Podashwa on 10 Jan 1786 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. "Friday, 6 January 1786 - Jacob Haag, David Haag's unmarried son, and Anna Podashwa, unmarried daughter of Wendel Podashwa in New Providence Township, Montgomery County, announced their desire to be married next Tuesday." Journal of HM Muhlenberg, volume 3, page 697.
