Catharina was born 1, 2 on 18 Nov 1780 in Montgomery Co, PA. She was christened on 13 Feb 1781 in Old Goshenhoppen Reformed Church, Montgomery Co, PA. She died 3 on 20 Sep 1869 in Skippack, Montgomery Co, PA. She was buried in Lower Providence Presbyterian Church, Montgomery Co, PA.1810 census for Abraham Hawk shows 1 male 45 and over making Abraham's birthdate at least 1765. There is one male over 10 years of age and one female over 10 years of age making the marriage of Abraham and Catharina probably prior to 1800?
Abraham died intestate. The court appointed his brother, George, as administrator of his estate.
17 Jan 1826 - Samuel Homsher petitioned the court for an inquest
16 Feb 1826 - Inquest was held at the house; heirs refused division of land which was then ordered sold at $28.50 an acre
11 Dec 1827 - Land was sold to Thomas Stroud at $21 an acre and one-third to remain "on charge" during the life of Catharine since married to Jacob Nyce - Not paid until 1872 when George Rittenhouse became owner of tract - total amount paid in 1872 was $663.35.

Curtis Seibert noted that the will of Samuel Gordon refers to his wife "Christina" - there were other errors in Seibert's manuscript where he referred to those of German descent by their first name and not the middle name, per German custom. Perhaps the correct name was "Catharina Christina Haag"?Catherine married Samuel Gordon before 19 Nov 1808. Samuel died on 29 Mar 1828 in Upper Providence Township, Montgomery Co, PA.
