came from Rotterdam in a ship "two Sisters" at age 15 with guardian Wolfgang
Braun, sailed via Corvus to Phil, Pa landed 9-9-1738.
1st home -50 acres in Fredrick County, Md (within 50 miles of DC).
Between 1762-1779 took up land in Randolph County, NC name changed to
Hoover. Had a grist mill on the Uwharrie River, NC Owned 200 acres.
Quaker..Orthodox Friends to Hicksite. Attended Center MM in 1789.
