The following is typed from the original pasted in the back of The Stephen
S. PETRY family Bible:

"DEARDORFF.---At the homestead of her father, near Easton, Ohio, June 5,
1896, Sally Deardorff, aged 71 years, 6 months and 11 days. Deceased was
born near Palestine, Darke Co, Ohio, Nov. 24, 1824. Her maiden name was
Harter. She was married to J.L. Deardorff, Sept. 11, 1845. She united with
the church of the Brethren in early life and lived a consistent, Christian
life to the end. She gave $500.00 to our church, and $1000.00 to the Old
Folks' Home of Southern Ohio. Funeral services conducted at Wheatville,
Ohio, June 7 by Bro. B.F. Petry and the writer. A.G. GROSSWHITE.
[3989] She is buried in the Wheatville Cemetery
