  1. Joseph Franz Dominic Zeller, son of Johann Georg Zeller and Maria Catharina Hug, was born 14 May 1807 in Schänis, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. He emigrated with his family aboard the Ship Swanton from the Port of LeHavre, France, arriving at the Port of New Orleans, Louisiana, on 21 July 1845 . They travelled up the Mississippi River to Belleville, St. Clair County, Illinois. He died 3 May 1856 in St. Clair County, Illinois.

    He married Maria Anna Frances Seliner on 13 November 1827 in Schänis, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. Maria Anna Frances Seliner, daughter of Joseph Anton Seliner and Maria Veronica Seliner, was born 24 October 1805 in Schänis, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland.
