William Glenwright, Collier

We know only a little information about William Glenwright and his family. William was baptized in 1788 in the Presbyterian Church in Haltwhistle, Northumberland, son of Thomas Glenwright and Elizabeth Wigham. At a relatively young age, he moved to Gateshead, Durham where he became a Collier (coal miner). He married Sarah Marshall from the neighboring parish of Bishop Wearmouth in her church, though they lived in Gateshead.

After a 25-year lapse, we see William and Sarah living in Durham City in the 1851 census with their two youngest daughters. We do not know where they migrated in-between. We might assume they had additional children, but have no additonal details of them.
