      E-170: 15 June 1842, for love and affection for our mother Nancy Duncan the widow of Micajah Duncan decd, we give, transfer and convey to her for life negro boy Solomon age about 20 years, then to return to us to be divided. /s/ James Duncan, Margaret Tillman, Celia L. Duncan, Elizabeth Duncan, Nancy H. Duncan, Richard B. (X) Hilliard and Mary Duncan. Wit. J.R. Hill, Joseph Duncan, James T. Tillman. Reg. on oath of Joseph Duncan, witness, who was acquainted with the bargainors and they acknowledged the deed in his presence; and on oath of John R. Hill who knew the first five, and James T.
