H-65(81): Decree of chancery court; Vardeman Byrd vs. Ruth Duncan and others, widow and admor. and the heirs at law of John Duncan decd; that on this 27 March 1849 the case came on to be finally heard; there is due to complainant the sum of $356.54; reference a decree intertsentary? in this cause at the March term of this court 1848; all the real estate was sold on 16 Sept. 1848, complainant became purchaser for $200; title divested from widow and heirs and vested in said Vardeman Byrd; one tract of 400 acres on White Oak Creek entered by John Duncan in his lifetime on 7 July 1834 #1644, survey #1446, beg. north of where John Scarborough did live, chain carriers J. Duncan and C. Duncan; the other tract a small entry of 26 acres adj. said 400 acres entered by decd. in his lifetime; no grants having yet been issued. Certified copy of transcript, 13 June 1849.
