My ancestors were John and Nancy Williamson who left Spafford with son Chauncey in 1831. They stopped for the winter in Pennsylvania, then crossed into Ohio where they lived for about 15 years.
Headstone Transcriptions of Williamson's who stayed in the Spafford area after 1830.
Thanks for these photographs and backup research goes to Leslie Kraus of a local universery.
We hope to match these transcriptions up with secondary burial records.
We know some of these are relatives, but cannot document the others.
This table is a work in progress. Dates on stones are often difficult to read. All dates are suspect until supported by alternate resources.

I found an Edmund Williamson in 1830 in Otisco. Otisco and Spafford are a stones throw from each other. Leslie. A Mariah Williamson married Nathan Raymond Nov 5, 1823 in Spafford. Look for Mariah to be daughter of James, John or Cornelius Williamson, men who helped found the town in 1806. |
