Garvin Cemetery is located behind the Garvin Methodist Church
on CR 4690. It's in the area just east of Fm Rd 51 and south of Hwy 114. (Between Paradise
and Boyd and about 4 miles east of Cottondale).
There were 216 headstones at the time of our survey in March 2000. There were many bases
with no headstones on them indicating that there may have been a lot of vandalism at some
time.
From earlier listings by Mr. & Mrs. Homer L. Roper, and
from information sent in by Wanda V. Cole of Amarillo we added 7 headstones for
a total of 223.
