UPDATE!! Added 6/19/2002
C.J. Poe General store. Is in Monarch. I moved there in early 40s. He sold
just about everything you needed. Furniture, Clothing, Shoes, supplies for the miners, groceries, &grain. He always said, Iif you don't see what you want; ask and I'll get it." He kept food on a lot of peoples tables. If you didn't have the money just
put it on the tab. Also most of the houses in Monarch was owned by him. Don't have any idea about when store was built. He would also deliver
groceries and farm supplies.

Based on this information, I now am confused as to where Monarch and Bonnie Blue actually connect???
3. The coal company security checkpoint. I have been told that in the old days, one could go as far as the coal processor shown in the upper left of the photo.
