The John and Margaret (Stoner) Schwyhart family in Ohio, Illinois and Iowa

John and Margaret Schwyhart had eight children. We know a lot about some of these families, very little about others! We would appreciate hearing from any of you who read this that have additional information, corrections and updates. THANK YOU! Bill

1. Rachel Ann Schwyhart (b. Jul 1836, OH; d. 1929) married Alonzo P. (Lon) Edick

2. John Schwyhart (b. 20 Oct 1838 - per LDS Ancestral File) - no further information availabe, at this time.

3. Elizabeth (b. 21 Jun 1843, OH; d. 11 May 1904, Henry Co, IL) Schwyhart married Jarius Storey (on 25 Apr 1867, Henry Co, IL)

4. Walter Schwyhart (b. 16 Apr 1845) - really like to know more about him!!

5. Jacob Schwyhart (b. 2 Nov 1847, OH) married Mae (unknown)

Jacob and Mae are listed in the 1870 census in Pesotum Twp, Champaign Co, IL, and in the 1880 census in Harrison Twp, Adair Co, IA, with son, Charlie (b. 1869, IL)

6. Mary Schwyhart (b. 20 Aug 1850) - per LDS Ancestral File)

7. Sarah Schwyhart (b. 3 Apr 1852 - per LDS Ancestral File)

8. Susan Schwyhart (b. 24 Oct 1854, IL; d. 19 Apr 1932, Washington Co, Oregon) married Hiram Adelbert Van Akin (on 23 Dec 1869, Annawa Co, IL)

The Van Akin family, the Kinnick family, and the Schwyhart family intermarry several times through the generations. Fun to follow!
