BENJAMIN WOOD CHRONOLOGY
Mar 3, 1737/8 from James Davis of Prince Georges County, planter, to Benjamin Wood of Charles County, carpenter, for 4000 lbs of tobacco & 5 £, part of 2 tracts of land in Charles County on the east side of Piles Fresh Main Swamp, the one called the Good Will, and the other called William Inlarged, bounded by the line of John Posten Sr, containing 87 acres. Witnesses – Allen Davis, William Wilkinson. Jane Davis acknowledged this deed. Ann Davis, wife of the within named James Davis, released her dower.[1]
Aug 8, 1738 from John Cox of Charles County, planter, to Benjamin Wood of Charles County, carpenter, for 700 lbs of tobacco, a tract of land called Keets Purchase, lying in Charles County on the east side of Piles Fresh main swamp, bounded by Thomas Wardur, containing about 50 acres. Witnesses – Robert Hanson, Robert Yates. Sarah, the wife of John Cox, released her dower.[2]
