PETER WOOD CHRONOLOGY
Nov
27, 1735. Richard Edelen of Charles County, Gent, for 25,000 lbs tobacco,
conveyed to Peter Wood of Charles County, planter, part of a tract of land
resurveyed by Thomas Sympson called St. Thomas, lying in Charles County,
bounded by the west side of Piles’ Swamp, containing 218 acres. Witnesses were
John Howard and Samuel Chunn. Ann, the wife of Richard Edelen.[1]

9, 1736 from Peter Wood of Charles County, planter, to John Baptist Boarman of
the same parts, Gent:, for 20,000 lbs of tobacco, part of a tract of land
called Lyons Den, lying in Charles County on the west side of Zachia Swamp,
originally taken up by Daniel Johnson, containing about 140 acres. Also, one
other tract of land in Charles County, adjoining the abovesaid tract of land,
containing about 38 acres, called Woods Addition. Witnesses – Henry Hawkins,
John Briscoe. Susanna, the wife of Peter Wood, released her dower. Richard
Edelin paid the 20,000 lbs.[2]
Nov 21, 1738 from Abel Carico of Charles County, planter, to Peter Wood of Charles County, planter, for 1400 lbs of tobacco and 30 shillings and for divers other good causes, all that part of a tract of land called St. Georges, lying in Charles County, and bounded by one of the lines of a parcel of land in the possession of John Biggs, a parcel of land now in possession of the said Peter Wood, containing 23 acres. Witnesses – Henry Hawkins, Thomas Stone. Elizabeth, wife of the said Abel Carrico, released her dower.[3]
