Christopher,

The information I have on William is suspect. We do not know for sure if he
is actually James W.'s father. All I have is that he was b. 1762 in County
Armagh, Ireland. and died 1804 in York, SC. Children are alleged to be,
James, John, Sarah, Jane, Agnes, Mary and Thomas. No dates except for James.

James W. Copeland b. 1800 in SC d. 1888 in Morgan Co., AL
m. A. Elizabeth Anderson. They were living in White Co. TN when Elizabeth
died. He then m. Margaret Baty. He moved to Morgan Co., AL,

His dau. Cynthia Caroline (Syntha) m. Ivy W. Lawrence in White Co., TN 1840
.

I hope this information helps. I'm trying to prove the William/James
connection.

Thanks

Dee
