Underwood, Peter H. (b. 1822, d. 1895)
Note: Page 65 and page 73 list Peter H. Underwood, page 65 list Peter H. as son of Enoch from a secondary source, page 73 list him as the son of Elijah. I feel he is probably the son of Enoch based on the census records based on the proximety to parents and siblings.

Hi,

I noticed that you have put information on the Underwood family on
Ancestry.com. I am the great great grandaughter of Peter Underwood. I
have been trying to get some information on his grandfather William
"Wedgebar" Underwood and was wondering what you might be able to tell me
about him. I have been able to find almost no info about him. Do you
know if he received a pension for his participation in the American
Revolution? Also, do you know whether Peter or his wife received any
kind of pension for his service during the War Between the States? I
would really appreciate any help you might be able to give me. We are an
active duty Army family and have been away from home so long that I have
no contacts within that extended family that I would even know to ask
for help on this.
