Hi, I can't remember if I have written you or not. If this is a repeat
please accept my apology.
I am researching James Lewallen son of Worthy Lewallen I have reason to
believe that James is my great great grandfather and I just need one piece
of information to prove it. Date of death would be wonderful. I'm sure if
you had that information you would put it on the ancestry.com file. I have
several letters from lawyers to my great grandfather concerning his father's
estate. I also have a statement from a store in Tallapoosa, GA that has
James Luallen's (Lewallen) name on it. It is dated 1919 but has balances
from 1914. I think he died sometime late 1918 or very early 1919. I also
think the statement was sent to my great-grandfather because he was the
executor of the will and was trying to clear up any debts.
If you have any more information on him I would love to have it. I am hoping
to make a trip to Tallapoosa, Carrollton and surrounding areas in March.
Thanks in advance,
Carmen Lewallyn Aeppli
